Headstart are partnering with Essential Skills to educate and equip all staff for their jobs. This not only helps you with your work now but means you can invest in yourself for the future.

Essential Skills specialise in providing training and assessment in Aged, Disability and Community Services. The goal is to support the industry through a skilled workforce that is equipped with the knowledge and passion to provide a quality experience for their clients.

Fee FREE Funding is available until the end of December 2023. The Government may or may not be extend this current deadline so now is the time to take advantage. Eligibility requirement is basically that a student holds a green medicare card, please see the course brochure for further info. 

All full qualfications excluding the CIV in End of Life Doula Services are currently being offered Fee FREE to eligible candidates and you just need to ensure they are enrolled prior to the cut off at the end of December.

The CIV in Disability Support does now have an entry requirement *must already have completed one of the following CHC33021, CHC33015 - Cert III in Individual Support – Disability stream. (or CHC30408 Cert III in Disability plus the CHCSS00125 Entry into Cert IV in Disability Support Skill Set).

Upcoming groups:

• CHC33021 Cert III in Individual Support – Disability stream – 23rd November
• CHC43121 Cert IV in Disability Support – 16th November
• CHC52021 Diploma of Community Services – just commenced 10th October – and can still be joined but don’t delay.

Any of the qualifications can be completed via distance except CHC33015 Cert III in Individual Support, which is only offered as face to face unless your location means you can only attend via Microsoft Teams then Essential Skills can discuss study access options.
