Headstart Acquired Brain Injury Services, based in Hamilton supports people with an Acquired Brain Injury to increase their community involvement and life skills and to engage more with the general community. We provide supports for people to pursue leisure or social interests and increase their opportunities to maximise independent living in the home and community.
This position presents an exciting opportunity for a person who is self motivated and enjoys a range of tasks as our Receptionist. You will be working with a team committed to the concept of flexible and consumer driven supports. This position is for 2 days per week.
Whilst the primary function of this role is reception, answering and directing calls, greeting visitors and managing front desk reception duties, there is also a component of administrative duties.
About you:
We are seeking a person who will enjoy the challenge of a stimulating work environment. You will need to possess a high level of communication skills, a strong work ethic and friendly personality with a “can do” attitude along with a sense of fun. Your superior interpersonal skills, with displayed professionalism in manner and presentation, are required along with previous experience liaising with a wide range of individuals.

Essential:
• Experience in reception duties including operating a busy switchboard
• Ability to work Mondays and Tuesdays 8am to 4.30pm.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Demonstrated administrative experience in a dynamic environment,
• Attention to detail and excellent problem solving skills.
• Ability to work autonomously and contribute positively as part of a team.
• The ability to multi-task and manage shifting priorities whilst remaining calm under pressure
• Initiative to contribute to the improvement of office procedures and systems
• Proficiency in MS Office; Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Database management.
• Drivers License
• Hold/willingness to obtain a current National Police Check, Working with Children Check (paid employment) and First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003 - Provide first aid)
Desirable:
• An understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme
• Experience in a Not for Profit organisation
Tenure: One year contract
Salary: SCHADS Award Level 1, Pay Point 1
